A Ukrainian painter. Born in Tiraspol. During 1926 - 1931 he studied at Kamenetz-Podolsk Art and Industrial School under the guidance of V. Gagenmeyster, from 1934 till 1941 - in Kyiv Institute of Art under the guidance of P. Volokidin. In the years of 1947 - 1954 – he was a teacher of Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts. During 1954 - 1972 he worked in the Arts Foundation. His solo exhibitions were held in Kishinev (1969), Lviv (1972, 1982, 1987, 1991). The retrospective exhibitions were held in Lviv (1993, 1997, 2004). Famous master of still life, portrait and thematic compositions. He worked in the genre of easel and monumental painting. His works are stored in Lviv National Gallery of Art, Lviv National Museum, in the Art Museums of Kishinev, Khmelnitskiy and in private collections of Ukraine, Russia, the USA, Germany, Britain and Israel.
