A Russian painter and graphic artist. During 1884 - 1893 he studied in St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. In 1886 he received a small medal, in 1890 - small and large medals, in 1891 - a large encouraging medal, in 1893 Р the title of the class artist of the 3rd degree. Since 1894 he exhibited his works at the exhibitions of the Art Academy, St. Petersburg union of artists, the Society of Russian watercolorists, etc. In late 1890s - early 1900s he worked in Central Asia. In 1910 he travelled to Transcaucasia, visited Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, where he was one of the organizers of Tiflis society of Fine Arts. His solo exhibition was held in Tashkent (1915). He painted works of ethnographic character: portraits - types, scenes of everyday life and battle scenes, views of architectural monuments. His works are stored in the State Russian Museum, in the Art Museums of Omsk and Tula, museums of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, North Ossetia, etc.
