He lived and worked in Warsaw and Lviv. He became famous as a master of landscape and genre compositions. Author of P. StroganovХs portrait and the portrait of unknown woman (1818, 1821), which are stored in the Art Museum of Nizhniy Novgorod. He is also known for his icon on the canvas ТThe Virgin and the Infant", created for the Cathedral of Alexandro-Nevskaya Lavra, which is stored in the State Russian Museum.
