A Russian painter and graphic artist. Born in Leningrad. In 1970 he graduated from Leningrad Higher Arts and Crafts School named after V. Mukhina. Since 1968 he has participated in the republican, national and international exhibitions. Member of the Artists’ Union of Russia since 1975. Since 2000 - the leader of the creative association "The Children of Arkhyp Kuindzhi" in St. Petersburg. He was awarded the "Golden Apple" prize at the International Biennial artwork in Bratislava for the illustrations to the book by O. Afanasyev "Russian folk fairy tales" (Moscow, Publishing house "Vita Nova", 2008). He lives in St. Petersburg. He works in the techniques of easel prints, oil and tempera painting. He has illustrated over 30 books and created over 100 book-plates. His works are stored in the collections of the Hermitage, the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Museum of Fine Arts, the Russian National Library in St. Petersburg, in the Art Museums of Bristol, Vatican City, London, Thessaloniki and Prague
