One of the leading Ukrainian masters of abstract art. Born in Kyiv. During the years of 1951 - 1957 he studied at Kyiv Art Institute under the guidance of G. Tytov. During 1962 - 1965 he worked in the art studios of the USSR Academy of Arts in Kyiv under the guidance of S. Grigoriev. Participant of republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions since 1957. Member of the National ArtistsХ Union since 1960. The artist taught at Kyiv Art and Industrial School (1959 - 1962). Author of the stained-glass panels in the New Apostolic Church in Kyiv (1995) and paintings in the Chapel in Bere-les-Alpes near Nice (1999). He is considered to be a universal artist, that is creating painting works, mosaics, stained-glass panels, paintings, books and interior design. Author of many theoretical works devoted to the problems of contemporary art. According to the survey of the Art Galleries Association of Ukraine (2000) he is considered the best artist of Ukraine. The works are presented in the State Russian Museum, the art museums of Dresden, New Jersey and other cities.
