French painter. Born in Po (France) in the family of the artist J. Desvarreux-Larpenteur. He studied at the studios of J.-L. Gerome and J.-B. Detaille in Paris. French painter. Born in Po (France) in the family of the artist J. Desvarreux-Larpenteur. He studied at the studios of J.-L. Gerome and J.-B. Detaille in Paris. Since 1910 a permanent participant of Parisian salons, where he gained great fame as a master of battle scenes. In 1913 was awarded with a gold medal in one of the salons. A member of the Society of French Artists (since 1902) and the Society of Military Artists (since 1913). An employee of the Army Museum in Paris (1914 - 1945). In 1915 was intended as the artist of the Military Department of  France. After World War II he completely refused to military topics, painted mostly hunting scenes and landscapes.
