Ukrainian graphic artist. Born on the farm of Novoalekseyevka, Mykolaiv region. Studied at Dnipropetrovsk Art Museum (1944 - 1948) under the guidance of M. Panin. Ukrainian graphic artist. Born on the farm of Novoalekseyevka, Mykolaiv region. Studied at Dnipropetrovsk Art Museum (1944 - 1948) under the guidance of M. Panin. He graduated from the Kyiv Institute of Art (1954), where his teachers were V. Casian, I. Pleschinskii and A. Pascenco. Exhibitions participant since 1947. He taught at the Kyiv Institute of Art (1955 - 1962). Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1956). He designed and illustrated books for Goslitizdat of the USSR. He worked mainly in the technique of etching. He was awarded the Silver Medal of the USSR Academy of Arts (1972), winner of the Kasiyan V. award (1979). People's Artist of USSR (1985). Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1991). The works were exhibited in Romania (1959), USA (1963), France and Chile (1965). The memorial exhibition was held in Kiev in 2006. His works are kept in National Art Museum, Donetsk Art Museum, the Museum of Taras Shevchenko (Kyiv), in private collections
