Weinberger Anton, 1843 – 1912

German artist. From 1860 he studied at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, then in Berlin, under the guidence of a famous painter and engraver P. F. Meyerheym. He taught painting and drawing in Leipzig and St. Petersburg (1872). From 1884 he lived in Vienna, where he worked as a court painter. From 1888 he lived in Munich, in 1902 moved to Wiesbade...

He worked in the genres of scenery and animalistyc  picture. Became famous as a master of hunting scenes. The works are presented in art museums of Mainz and Wiesbaden.
