A Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. Born in Odessa. In the years of 1888 - 1890, he studied at Odessa Drawing School under the direction of Ladyzhenskyi and K. Kostandi. Attended St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1890) and lХAcademie Julien in Paris (1891). Travelled about Europe; for some time lived in Munich.  A co-founding member and exhibitor of the Association of the South-Russian Artists (1891 - 1915), Odessa Literary and Art Association (1897), and ArtistsХ Association n.a. K. Kostandi (1922 - 1929). He participated in the exhibitions of the Association of Itinerant Art Exhibitions (1892 - 1908), etc. In 1905, he was engaged in design of Odessa satirical art magazine "Zvon". In 1919, he founded an art school studio in Odessa. In 1935 and in 1940 his solo exhibitions were held in Odessa. In the years of 1937 - 1945, he taught at Odessa Art School. An Author of genre paintings, portraits and landscapes. His works are represented in the NAMU, the State Tretyakov Gallery, Odessa Art Museum and in many others.
