In 1860 lived in Naples, and during 1861 Р 1877 - in Paris, and since 1877 - in St. Petersburg. In 1863, he received the title of an artist of the 14th class. Academician since 1864. Exhibited his works at the Academy of Arts, Association of Itinerants, and Petersburg ArtistsХ Association. Also exhibited his works in Paris (1860), Philadelphia (1876), and Berlin (1886). In 1893, his solo exhibition was held in St. Petersburg. He painted historical and genre picture and watercolours.
