A Swiss painter. In the 1890s, he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Lausanne. One of the representatives of the Alpine landscape school, which was founded by the famous Swiss artist O. Kalam. He travelled through the Nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway). For some time he lived in the Netherlands. The result of his travel was revealed in numerous seascapes and mountain landscapes that were in great demand in European countries, including Russia. His works are kept in many Art Museums worldwide.
