A Ukrainian painter, landscape painter, master of narrative painting. A co-founder of modern Crimean Art School. Born in the village of Ozeriany, Chernighiv region. He was a disciple of the professor of Leningrad Academy of Arts O. Eisner. Then he studied at Leningrad Art School. During 1940 - 1950 (with interruptions) he continued studying at Leningrad Academy of Arts (the art studio of B. Yoganson). For brilliant achievements in the Academy after the first course he was marked by a Stalin scholarship. Upon completion of the Academy with a group of the best graduators (F. Zakharov, V. Opanovych and others) he was sent by the Ministry of Culture of the USSR to the Crimea. Together, they taught at the Crimean Art School named after M. Samokish and raised a number of the talented Ukrainian artists. The People's Artist of the USSR since 1989, the Laureate of the State Prize of the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea. Lives and works in Simferopol. The works are stored in the collections of the NAMU and the art museums of Symferopol, Sevastopol, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv and others.
