Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. Born in Kyiv. He studied at the Kyiv Art School (1912 - 1918) and Kyiv Institute of Plastic Arts (1918 - 1922). Exhibitions participant since 1917. Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. Born in Kyiv. He studied at the Kyiv Art School (1912 - 1918) and Kyiv Institute of Plastic Arts (1918 - 1922). Exhibitions participant since 1917. He designed the plays for the Taras Shevchenko First Drama Theater of the USSR. He painted political posters (1919 - 1921). Member of the Association of Revolutionary Art of Ukraine (1927 - 1928). He painted for "Okna TASS" ("TASS Windows") (1943 - 1944). He taught at the Kyiv Institute of Art (1928 - 1950). Professor since 1949. The works were exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 1928. Solo exhibitions were held in Kyiv (1940, 1945, 1955). The works are kept in the National Art Museum, The Andrey Sheptytsky National Museum in Lviv and other Art Museums and galleries of Ukraine.
