Ukrainian artist, teacher. Born in Kherson. Was a free student of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1868 - 1870). In 1872 he received a small incentive medal, in 1874 - the title of class artist of III degree in landscape painting. He lived and worked in Kharkov. He organized a private studio. In 1872 he received a small incentive medal, in 1874 - the title of class artist of III degree in landscape painting. He lived and worked in Kharkov. He organized a private studio. Famous artists such as G. Vereyskyi, K. Istomin, O. Della-Vos-Kardovskaya and others studied there. Was a member of Kharkiv Society of Fine Arts Lovers. In 1907 he patented his own original electro-mechanical typesetting machine, which made it possible to type text in different fonts in seven languages. His works are kept in the Kharkov Art Museum, funds of Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, State Russian Museum and private collections.
