A Russian painter, graphic artist, stage designer. Born in Tula. In 1910 he graduated from Kyiv Art School. From 1910 till 1912 he studied at the Higher Art School of painting, sculpture and architecture in St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. In 1913 he settled in Paris. He painted portraits, landscapes, still lives and interiors. In 1920 he was engaged in scenography in collaboration with S. Sudeykin. He was affected by the works of S. Sudeykin, N. Goncharova, B. Grygoriev. He exhibited his works at the salons: Autumn (1913 - 1935, 1921 Р in the group "The World of Arts"), the National Society of Fine Arts (1925 - 1940) and Spring (1937). He participated in the group exhibitions of the Russian artists in Venice (the XII International biannual exhibition of Art, 1920), in Paris (1921, 1931, 1932), London (1921) and the Hague (1924). His works are presented in the Art Museum in France.
