An artist of the Ukrainian emigration, the representative of _cole de Paris. Since 1924 he lived in Paris, where he attended the Academy de la Grande Chaumi_re. He worked in Marseilles in the school _cole des Beaux-Arts, then in Toulouse (since 1939). In 1947 he returned to Paris where he opened the first solo exhibition in the Galerie Jeanne Buchern, which represented him as one of the most influential artists of the new _cole de Paris. In 1949 in Paris Galerie Maeght he held the exhibition along with avant-garde group Les Mains _blouies and won the prize of V. Kandinskyy. He exhibited his works in the famous galleries Galerie Denise Ren_ and Galerie Henri B_n_zit. His last work is three large murals for the _cole Langevin at Suresnes (1951). The retrospective show of his works was organized in Paris at the Museum of Modern Art (1965) and in the Center of Contemporary Art in Villeneuve-d'Asq. His works are kept in these museums and in the Museum of Fine Arts in Nantes
