An artist of the Russian emigration, painter, graphic artist, stage designer. He studied at Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Since 1911 he was a member of the group of art lovers in the town of Ivanovo-Voznesensk, participated in numerous exhibitions of the group. Author of O. KerenskyyХs portrait. Since 1921 he lived in Berlin. He worked as a stage designer in the theater-cabaret "The Blue Bird" of Y. Yuzhnyy. At the invitation of conductor I. Dobroveyn he designed the staging of "Borys Godunov" by M. Musorgskyy for German opera. In the mid-1920s he moved to the United States. He created covers for magazines, designed the concert and pop programs, made orders for theaters. In 1940 he painted landscapes, portraits, genre scenes on the Russian themes. He designed the hall in "St.Regis" hotel in New York in the Russian-style. The last years of his life he lived in his own estate in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
