American painter, graphic artist, illustrator. Born in New York City. He got elementary art education under the guidance of his father, William A. Fisher. He studied at the Art Institute of M. Hopkins in San Francisco. Since 1895 published his drawings in popular periodicals, engaged in design of various magazines. Since the early 1900s became one of the most famous magazine illustrators of USA, executed the orders of American Weekly, Saturday Evening Post, Collier's, Life, and others. Draw the covers for Cosmopolitan magazine, where he worked in 1913 - 1934. Numerous drawings of women's images replicated in the form of leaflets and posters in Europe and the USA brought the artist grand success. The Master was called the artist of "the American dream" and "the father of thousands of girls." In the period from 1907 to 1914 the album "Fisher's American Beauties" was released more than 12 times. Painted, engaged in book design, posters, arts and crafts. He created a gallery of portraits of famous American artists. H. Fischer's Arts significantly influenced the development of the American school of illustration.
