A Russian artist. Born in Moscow. From 1894 till 1901 he studied at Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. In 1899 he was promoted to the class painter, in 1900 Р he received a silver medal. During 1902 - 1907 he studied at St. Petersburg Academy of Arts under the guidance of V. Makovskyy, since 1907 Р at the mosaic department of the Academy of Arts. After the graduation of the Academy he was promoted to the title of the artist for the painting 'Samson and Dalila" (1911) and to the rank of the junior mosaicist (1913). He exhibited his works at the exhibitions of the Academy of Arts, Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions (1912 - 1913), republican and all-union exhibitions (1936 - 1940). He lived and worked in Moscow. He painted genre paintings, landscapes and still lives. His works are presented in Krasnodar Art Museum and in other Russian museums.
