Ukrainian painter, representative of the «new wave» in the modern Ukrainian art. He was born in the Crimea. Systematically paints since he was11 . In 1980 he entered the Krasnodar Art Schooland graduated with honors. In 1986 - 1992 he studied at the Kyiv Institute of Art at the Faculty of monumental painting. He began exhibiting his work in art exhibitions since 1988. In 1990 - 1994 a member of the the Kiev art group «Paris Commune». In 1991 he created the first work using the geographical map. In 1997 - 1998 took part in the World Exhibition «Cartographers», which was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb (Croatia). In 1997 received the «Golden Section» award - «Artist of the Year in the field of contemporary art» at the International Art Festival, which took place in Kiev. Spent thirteen solo exhibitions, participated in over thirty group art exhibitions, including «Days of Ukrainian Culture in France», «Intervals» in the National Art Museum of Ukraine (both - 2000), the first Ukrainian project at the Venice Biennale (2001), as well as numerous exhibitions and presentations of Ukrainian art, which took place in Russia, Poland and Hungary, Austria, Germany, Italy, Norway etc. The works are published in more than 20 catalogs, and are mentioned in numerous publications. Works are kept in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, the Museum of Duke University in North Carolina (USA), «Moscow House of Photography» Museum in Moscow, «Art Center Henie - Ostend Hovikoden» Museum in Oslo (Norway) and many private collections. Several works of the artist were bought by Auction House «Philips».
