A Ukrainian and Russian artist, painter. Born in the village of Baranove, Orlovska region. During 1936 - 1939 and 1946 - 1948 he studied at Kharkiv Institute of Art under the guidance of S. Prokhorov and Y. Golovashov. As a member of the studio of military artists of M. Grekov he articipated in the development of numerous large-scale project devoted to the Great Patriotic War. Participant of republican, all-union and international exhibitions since 1951. Member of the Artists' Union of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic since 1953. He lived and worked in Kharkiv. In 1990 he moved to Russia. He was engaged in design of the books, easel and monumental painting. Master of thematic paintings, portraits and landscapes. His works are kept in Moscow - in the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War and in the Central Museum of Armed Forces, in Kharkiv Art Museum, Alupka Palace-Museum, etc.
