From 1954 till 1955 he attended the Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg, where O. Kokoschka taught. During 1956 - 1957 he worked in the graphic department of the Art Museum in Zwickau. Author of landscapes, still lives, portraits and genre scenes.
