A Russian painter, watercolourist, graphic artist. Born near Kyiv. He studied at St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1883 - 1893) under the guidance of M. Klodt. A Russian painter, watercolourist, graphic artist. Born near Kyiv. He studied at St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1883 - 1893) under the guidance of M. Klodt. He was awarded two silver medals (1887 and 1889). He traveled a lot across Russia and abroad (Italy, France, India, Africa). Participant of the exhibitions of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions (1918), the Society of southern Russian artists (1901). In 1911 at the Autumn Fair in St. Petersburg there was held his solo exhibition. Member of the Society "Myussarovskye Mondays" due to which he held a series of solo exhibitions (since 1914). He lived and worked in St. Petersburg. Author of lyrical landscapes and genre scenes. His works are kept in the Art Museums of Russia and Ukraine.
