A Russian graphic artist and painter. He was born in Kovel, Volyn region. He studied at the Cadet Corps in Moscow. He attended classes in Strohanov Central School of Arts and Crafts (his teachers were I. Pavlov and V. Falilyeyev). In 1918 in Kyiv he participated in the municipal exhibition. In 1921 he went to Paris, where he got a job of an assistant in the workshop of the sculptor A. Blasis. In 1922 he completed a series of woodcuts, which was exhibited at the exhibition organized by the union of artists and sculptors in the cafe La Parnasse. His works were exhibited at the Salon of the union of French artists, was a member of the Union of Russian Artists in France, a group of "The Band of Montparnasse" (1926) and "A friendly group of artists" (1927). In the late 1920s he worked as an engraver in the carpentry workshop, exhibited his works in Moscow exhibition "Engraving of the USSR for 10 years" (1927), "Colour xylography, its facilities and opportunities" (1929), "The Exhibition of prints and drawings of I. Pavlov and his students "(1929). Since 1931 he painted miniature landscapes, participated in the group exhibitions: "The Group of Ten" (1931), "The Fair of trash" (1932) and "The Salon in the open air" (1932). In 1935 he began to develop drawings for the fabrics, in 1944 he exhibited in the Winter salon and in the Museum of the Contemporary Art in Paris.
