An artist of the Russian emigration. Born in St. Petersburg. From 1909 till 1914 he studied at the drawing school of the Society for the Promotion of Artists. An artist of the Russian emigration. Born in St. Petersburg. From 1909 till 1914 he studied at the drawing school of the Society for the Promotion of Artists. He graduated from the course with the gold medal and the diploma of the drawing teacher. In the years of studying he was engaged in interior design and scenography. In 1914 he successfully debuted at the International Exhibition of graphics and printing business in Leipzig. In 1919 he settled in Paris, in 1920 he entered the School of Fine Arts where he studied under the guidance of F. Cormon. In 1923 he moved to Nice. He traveled a lot to Corsica (1930), Morocco and Algeria (1931 - 1932), Italy (1935 - 1938). He participated in the group exhibitions in Nice (1937 - 1943), at the French Riviera (1947 - 1951), Monte Carlo (1958), London (1960), Rome (1968 - 1969).His personal exhibitions took place in Nice (1927, 1929, 1935, 1971), Paris (1935, 1936), the Hague (1936 - 1938, 1953, 1954, 1956), Cagnes sur Mer (France, 1973). Author of easel paintings and watercolors. He worked in the genres of landscape, still life and portrait. His favorite motifs were old streets and the port of Nice, the views of the Netherlands with windmills. His works are presented in the museums of Nice, Grenoble, the Hague and in other cities.
