In 1879 he made a debut at the exhibition in Valencia and won a bronze medal for the historical scene, and later he got a scholarship from the Madrid city for training in Rome. In 1884 he moved to Paris where he became famous as a master of depicting the aristocratic scenes of the time of Louis XV. The permanent exhibitor at the Salons. The numerous works of the artist were reproduced in popular French magazines and art albums.
