Russian painter. Born in the village of Vielikaya Topal, Bryansk region. In 1932 - 1935 he studied at the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under the guidance of K. Rudakov, N. Tyrsa, B. Vogel. Participated in exhibitions since 1940. Member of the Union of Artists of RSFCR since 1946. Lived and worked in Leningrad. He painted mostly landscapes. At the end of 1980 - the first half of 1990 participated in exhibitions and auctions of Russian painting L'Ecole de Leningrad in France that brought him fame in Europe. In the 1990s, had lived and worked in France. At one of the exhibitions the master's paintings were acquired by the President of France J. R. Chirac. In 1990 solo exhibitions were held in Geneva and London. His works are kept in the Museums of Art of Russia, France, Belgium and other countries.
