A Ukrainian, Russian and Polish painter and graphic artist. Born in Warsaw. From 1879 till 1883 he studied at Warsaw Drawing School. During 1883 - 1884 Р an auditor of Petersburg Academy of Arts. In 1897 he received a certificate with the right to teach drawing in secondary schools. He taught at schools of Odessa, in particular in the Efrussi College (1905 - 1914). He published his drawings in Odessa newspapers and magazines, since 1880s - a permanent employee of the satirical magazine ТPchelaУ ("Bee") and the newspaper "Odesskye novosti" (ТThe News of OdessaУ). Member of the Society of southern Russian artists since 1911, of the union named after K. Kostandi - since 1925. He participated in the 1st People's exhibition (1919), in the exhibitions of the Society of southern Russian artists (1901 - 1919), of the union named after K. Kostandi (1920s), in the collective exhibitions of Odessa artists and in the national art exhibitions (since 1930). His works are stored in Odessa Art Museum and in other museums of Ukraine
