A famous Russian painter, watercolourist, graphic artist and miniaturist. Born in St. Petersburg in the family of the artist Ivan Morozov. From 1852 till 1863 he studied at St. Petersburg Academy of Arts under the guidance of Professor O. Markov. In 1857 he received two small silver medals and in 1858 - small and large silver medals, in 1861 - a small gold medal. In 1863 he became a participant of the famous "Rebellion of 14" headed by I. Kramskoy, this event marked the forthcoming of the Itinerants. The same year he became a founding member of St. Petersburg Artel of Artists, which was converted into the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions in 1870. In 1864 he was awarded the title of the academician. Founder and exhibitor of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions (since 1873) and the Society of Russian watercolorists (since 1887). Since 1879 he taught at the drawing school of the Society for the Promotion of Artists. He participated in the exhibitions of the Academy of Arts, of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions, in the All-Russian Exhibition in Moscow (1882), the World Exhibitions in Vienna (1873), Paris (1878), Berlin (1886), in the International ones Р in London (1862) and Chicago (1893). He lived and worked in St. Petersburg. He often implemented creative journeys through Russia, created numerous landscapes. He turned to etching and miniature portrait. He painted landscapes, portraits and genre paintings. His works are presented in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, in the Art Museums in Krasnodar, Kozmodemyansk, in St. Petersburg Museum of the Axademy of Arts and in many others.
