A Ukrainian artist. Born in the village of Orehivka, Poltava region. From 1931 till 1936 he studied at the Faculty of Graphic art of Kharkiv Institute of Art under the guidance of V. Kasian. Participant of republican, all-union and international exhibitions since 1932. Head of the Graphic Department of Kharkiv Institute of Art (1936 - 1964), since 1961 - professor. His personal exhibitions took place in Kharkiv (1940, 1944, 1954, 1975), Moscow (1946), Sumy (1953), Kyiv (1958). People's Artist of Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic since 1963. He created a series of etchings, "Ukrainian landscapes" (1936 - 1941), "Ukraine" (1941 - 1943), "Kyiv" and " Kharkiv" (both in the years of 1944 - 1955), etc. He lived and worked in Odessa. His works are stored in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, Kharkiv Art Museum and in other museums of Ukraine.
