A Ukrainian artist. Born in the village of Moskalivka, Ternopil region. He graduated from Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1965). His teachers were K. Zvirynskyy, R. Selskyy, D. Dovbushynskyy. Member of the National Union of Artists (1988), winner of the National Prize of Ukraine named after T. Shevchenko (1997), People's Artist of Ukraine (2002). Participant of numerous exhibitions. He has held about 50 solo exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. He has been living in Kiev and New York (since 1990). He works in the fields of easel and monumental painting, drawing and ceramics. His works are kept in the museum, gallery and private collections in Ukraine, Germany and the United States.
